By downloading, installing, or using StrikeSafe ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
StrikeSafe is a lightning safety monitoring application that provides real-time information about lightning strikes in your vicinity. The App uses data from community lightning detection networks and the National Weather Service to help users make informed decisions about outdoor safety.
StrikeSafe provides lightning strike data and safety recommendations based on third-party sources (e.g., Blitzortung, NWS) for informational purposes only.
Lightning detection is not instantaneous, not 100% accurate, and may contain delays or errors. Weather conditions change rapidly.
The app does not guarantee safety. It cannot prevent lightning strikes, predict every strike, or replace professional judgment, official warnings, or common sense. Always follow local safety guidelines, seek shelter immediately when thunder is heard, and do not rely solely on this app.
Use of StrikeSafe is at your own risk. The developer, operators, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, death, damage, or loss resulting from reliance on the app, inaccurate/missing data, delays, or failure to act on recommendations. No warranties, express or implied, are made regarding accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose.

While we strive to provide accurate and timely lightning data, we do not guarantee:
Lightning detection depends on community-operated sensor networks and internet connectivity, both of which may experience outages or delays.
You agree to:
Free Tier: StrikeSafe offers a free tier with core lightning detection, safety timer, threat status, and map features.
StrikeSafe Pro: Premium features are available through a paid subscription, including NWS weather alerts, custom location monitoring, extended strike history, and an ad-free experience.
Payment Processing: Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Stripe (for web), managed by RevenueCat. Payment terms are governed by the respective platform's terms.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access to Pro features will continue until the end of your current billing period. Refunds are handled by the respective app store per their refund policies.
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on their next billing cycle.
The App, its design, features, and content are owned by StrikeSafe and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STRIKESAFE AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StrikeSafe, its developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and canceling any active subscriptions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
